Hey friends!! I can’t believe another year has passed. 2017 brought some unexpected changes to my life. Which I just talked about last night in my BEST OF 2017 AND MY ONE WORD FOR 2018 In fact, if you have been following along with me for awhile this picture might seem like Deja Vu. You’re not imagining things, IT IS! I never finished this $100 room challenge that I started in the summer. Of course I thought I would just keep working on it and post the little projects that I finished as I go. But that didn’t happen because… Family first!! Priorities. So I am going to pick up where I left off and actually finish my $100 room challenge that I started in the summer. I promise you that if I didn’t blog I would never finish another project ever!!
If you have never heard of the $100 Room Challenge that Erin of Lemons Lavender and Laundry started you can read about it HERE
This new round is just the fire I need and I hope to share some projects that you could try yourself like that drop zone / command center that I so desperately need in my life. I am craving organization. I am also going to turn an old TV cart into a dog crate. Much to my husband’s dismay.
I chose to tackle my hallway on the last round of the $100 Room Challenge. This is what I started with….
And after A LOT of white paint, new door knobs and some IKEA picture ledges I got here…
I am really digging the fresh and bright feel. There were a few projects in here that I didn’t finish. So I am going to tackle those in January and am happy to pick up where I left off!
The 100 Room Challenge
I am going to keep the same budget that I started with. To be fair and all!
This is a re-cap
TOTAL BUDGET:
$100
Sold old furniture..$50
Total: $150
TOTAL SPENT:
Picture ledges…$40
2 ribba frames…$10
Grand total: $50
So that leaves me with $100 still!! Which is great because I am going to need it!
PROJECTS I PLAN TO DO:
Make the countertop of the linen closet more resilient
Create a drop zone/command center
Come up with a less hideous dog bed
Finally pull the trigger on a new rug
Maybe just maybe turn the coat closet into a linen closet with shelving. I NEED THAT!
I am excited to get some things crossed off my list and not empty my bank account at the same time. That’s why I love this challlenge.
Here is the first challenge from summer…

It’s amazing how the white paint has brightened and completely changed up this space Jessica! Love the picture ledges too! I too have a $100 from last year (the spring) that is still unfinished thanks to some plumbing issues in our mudroom! Maybe a year later I’ll finally get it finished!

So sometimes all the pretty pictures get all my attention and I by-pass the words. 🙁 Sorry. I saw the picture ledges were from IKEA. Thanks.

I do the same thing all the time!!! They are very inexpensive too, which was a plus! Thank you for reading and following along!
