There is nothing like sitting out on the patio after the sun goes down, twinkle lights on and drink in hand. It’s the best part of the day and I often hide out there hoping someone else will do the dinner dishes. But I didn’t want to hide my new Coral Cactus so I added it to my outdoor centerpiece for this Summer Festival Blog Hop hosted by Kendra at Joy in our Home. If your’re coming from The Painted Hinge then welcome and I’m so happy to meet you. Have you ever seen a Coral Cactus? It was new to me when I found it at Home Depot with my sister, we loved it and we both got one!!
I don’t think it is something that you can find very easily, I have been back since and they are long gone.
But with the help of WIKIBUY.COM I was able to find them for sale online.
Have you heard of Wikibuy before?
…..It is a site where you can search items and it brings up the best prices from the internet. I’m finding it a great place to start when online price comparing and shopping. It’s free and they will even alert you when the item you want goes on sale or if there is a coupon available. Give it a try!!! I searched Coral Cactus and found a few to buy online. I also used it when looking for an instant pot recently and I got the best price available!!!
Outdoor Centerpiece with a Coral Cactus
My son graduated high school this year and I guess I’m feeling a bit nostalgic, so I got out the stash of little mementos that my boys have gathered on our trips throughout the years. I still remember where we got each one.
Those sand dollars were from Pismo Beach CA and boy did they stink. LOL. That was 10 years ago.
I love that saying about raising kids. “The days are long but the years are short.” SIGH.
I’m pretty sentimental. So maybe this little outdoor centerpiece with the Coral Cactus and the shells and pottery is more about the people I love than things.
My sister was visiting from out of state recently and we went into an antique shop that was closing and I found that green pottery bowl. It is a piece of vintage California Pottery which will be the first piece of my collection because now I’m hooked. So when I look at this I remember some very happy days with my sisters and my boys. It makes me smile and tear up just a bit.
SEE!!! I told you I was sentimental.

I always try to link actual products but most of the things I buy are vintage, or second hand. I also use things that I have had for years. I got this patio set on Craigslist, I bought the lantern many years ago. The faux white coral is from Pottery Barn which they no longer have so I linked a similar one. The little creamer that I use as a vase is from H&M but they only have it in gray right now. The white succulent planter was a TJMAXX find. So here are some links that will get you similar items

We truly feel that sentimental decor is sometimes the very best decor. Just a couple of weeks ago, we picked up some last second shells on the beach before catching a 5 hour plane ride home. You can best believe that those shells were double-wrapped in a bag and the first thing unpacked – so that they could be cleaned asap…LOL Your table and cactus are lovely!

Jessica this post is so beautiful, I love your outdoor space! I have been thinking about replacing our green and white awning over our deck to black and white striped and love how your umbrella and black and white decor look with the weathered furniture and pop of green. And the twinkling lights! I can see why you hide out here, I would do the very same thing! Hope you had a wonderful visit with your sister and are enjoying summertime!! XOX

I appreciate that Cindy. Thank you. I don’t think it can be described as cool though. Our summers are so hot here in SoCal but the evenings are always pleasant.

Very pretty! I love the seashells and they go together nicely with the succulents!

Thank you. They do make a great combo for summer. Probably the only thing that can live in this heat!!

There are so many pretty pieces on your table! I love how each one holds its own special memory too. I totally had to laugh about the shells because you are SO right – they can stink up a room or a car – in a heartbeat. Hope your summer is filled with lots of happy moments, hugs, CoCo
