If you had to choose, what would it be? Fresh rosemary vs. dried?? I will choose fresh any day of the week. It is easy to grow and I love going out to the garden to pick a few sprigs.
Chopping fresh rosemary seems tedious. But it doesn’t have to be. I am going to show you how to cut rosemary the easy way. I could keep it to myself but where is the fun in that?
The First thing you need is a pair of kitchen shears. I have been using these Kitchen Aid Shears for a LONG time and they are still sharp. I love them.
Take your shears and snip the tender tips of the sprig first. Snip it off at the size you want it for your recipe.
Then take the woody stem and align all of the tender leaves to one side.
Hold it in one hand and snip the leaves with the other…..
You will have a pile of perfectly chopped fresh rosemary. But it is snipped and it’s so much easier.
Keep snipping until just the woody stem is left.
Now you are ready to make a fresh rosemary recipe.
