Do you live in front of your kitchen sink? I sure feel like I do. It’s the never ending dance of grocery shopping, cooking, dishes and REPEAT. I often remind myself that we have dishes because we have plenty to eat and for that I’m so grateful. I recently added a soap tray next to my kitchen sink and I am loving it. Having all of my dish washing supplies at the ready in a soap tray makes the job just that much easier for the whole family. I included supplies like my new obsession, Scotch-Brite® Scrub Dots sponges and Scotch-Brite® Non-Scratch Scrub Dots Dishwand. I’m not the only one in the house that does dishes. My teenage boys do a lot of the dishes. It isn’t easy to stay on kids to do chores. I have to give my husband credit for pushing them to do chores and as it turns out I needed pushing too. It’s hard work!!!  Read more

Upcycle An Old Sheet Into A No Sew Table Runner

Simple Indigo and Pink Tablescape for a Beautiful Brunch

I hate to iron and I own a sewing machine but don’t remember how to operate it. What’s a girl to do when she finds an old sheet in the prettiest blush pink and wants to use it as a table runner? Well the “IN” lingo to moms is upcycle, no sew, blush pink, indigo, tablescape, boho chic, thrifty style which reminds me… Read more

I have 2 words to describe this post… COMFORT FOOD. 6 years ago my son and I had to say good bye to gluten which is a challenge to say the least. It is so much easier when there is gluten free pasta that tastes this good. Every now and then you just need a taste of things that you used to enjoy like pasta. If you are gluten free or have tried it you will probably agree that one of the hard parts is finding gluten free products that don’t taste gluten free or that don’t have the consistency of cardboard. Plus they are usually so expensive. Well I am happy to report that I am going to save you all of that trouble. Look no further because Barilla gluten free pasta is hands down the best gluten free pasta you will find and it is reasonably priced. I included a coupon code below, don’t miss it! I am happy to share this recipe with you and you can find more great ideas on the Barilla Gluten Free Page Read more

Fall is my all time favorite. I created a few of these asymmetrical fall florals and sprinkled them around the main area of my home which is the dining room.
